Goodbye to my jacket!

Today I gave one of my favourite jackets away to Anna, a very funky graphic designer who I did my internship with. She is extremely cool and it was funny, but I felt the Lord say to give it to her over a week ago. I really didn't want to part with it because I bought it in Mexico for 320 pesos and it has sentimental value as well as being a very practical jacket because it has lots of pockets and zip-off sleeves and hood, so you can use it just as a vest. However, I packed my bags today and I am over the weight limit so I had to part with some stuff! I also gave her a bag to take to Cheri to give to Hope City.

Father God, we pray that the Word of the Lord would run swiftly and be glorified in Detroit. We pray that You would stir up such a hunger and a thirst for righteousness and for truth in each person attending the Call, that they would meditate in Your Word day and night, that it would be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path.

Freedom of one woman and her child from sex slavery

We did a rapid fire prayer line today for a specific woman and her child who are trapped in sex slavery. A team has gone to rescue them both. They didn't disclose her name or the country she is in, for obvious reasons. It's an undercover rescue team. I was disappointed to see how few people responded to the invitation to pray for her situation. Why?

"Father we pray that You would send Your Word to heal this woman and deliver her from all destruction. We pray that You would give her clarity of mind and clear thinking. We pray that You would give her supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would renew her strength and restore her soul. We pray that You would have mercy on her Lord".

Prophetic ministry at IHOP

I have really been feeling unhappy about returning to Perth and leaving behind IHOP, because it has been an amazing season here and I feel like my heart is about to be ripped in pieces as I leave behind a magnitude of like-minded friends here - they are much better quality than the YWAM bunch I made friends with last year because we pray the same way and we've been taught how to enter into a deeper level of intimacy with Jesus than i've ever known before.

However, yesterday I went into the prophetic ministry rooms and I deliberately disguised my Australian accent so the three people delivering words wouldn't be deterred with their words (haha) and then one lady had a vision of a jet fighter plane, which she said was a stealth plane ("Stealth" in a military context means designed in accordance with technology that makes detection by radar or sonar difficult). She said the plane was getting ready to take off over the ocean and she said the Lord said that was symbolic of how the Lord will use me in the next season ahead of me. She said God would give me eyes to see what was happening in a room, city, nation, etc... and that I will be sent out with power and with weapons of warfare and be given strategies in intercession, prophesying and deliverance. She said I was going to be a voice of authority and God had a new assignment for me. She gave me Psalm 144 and said God has trained my hands for battle.

The second person had a vision of a party bag full of gifts (symbolic of what God had equipped me with, e.g. gifts of the Holy Spirit and give to me when I ask Him) and one unusual thing she saw was a set of headphones turning into a trumpet and she said the Lord said that the truth I have heard, I will declare like a trumpet of declaration. She said she heard the Lord say it was ok to put all my eggs in His basket because He is a good shepherd and a good Father. She heard Him say "Do you trust me, Michelle?".

The third person said he heard the Lord say He will take me into new places and like at a party with gifts, I will use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to bless people and introduce people in a non-threatening gentle way to the Holy Spirit. He said he sensed a tenderness about me. He said I will see different ways that the Holy Spirit moves in revival, renewal, etc... He said he saw leadership and administration on me.

Those words deeply encouraged me and have eased some of the stress I feel about transitioning into my next season. I still feel a bit uneasy about going home. I need to confront my sister and lead her through repentance and back to Jesus. She is far from God and deeply rooted in sin. It sickens me thinking about the state she has sunken to.

Praying for Perth, WA today :-)

Father we pray that You would cause the name of Jesus to be lifted up and made known in the city of Perth, Western Australia, that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. Lord we pray that You would empower every believer with supernatural boldness. We pray that You would perfect them in every area where they are lacking in their faith and we pray that You will cause righteousness to break forth in areas where they struggle.

Praying to end human trafficking in Seoul, Korea

Father we pray that You would strengthen the Church in Seoul, Korea and empower them with Your Holy Spirit to make a difference. We pray that You would release to the Church wisdom, liberally and without reproach to choose ways that are in accordance with Your will. We pray that You would instruct them and teach them in the way they should go, that You will guide them with Your eye.

Praying for Israel

Father we pray that You would have mercy on all those who are perishing in Israel, those whose souls are far from You. We pray that You would pour out Your spirit on them without measure - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Awaken them Lord.

Busy day

Super busy day today - started with 5.45am prayer. Then headed home for breaky. Then headed back to Ondrea's to get a ride to the memorial service for Matt and Tash's little girl. Then went to Price Choppers and bought some food. Then went to Jessica's house to make some food to take on a picnic at the lake behind Ondrea's and my house. Then went to Jim and Andrea Saxion's house for dinner. Then came home and cleaned the bathroom. Then had a shower. Now ready to crash!

Prophetic vision fulfilled

The other day I suddenly remembered that my crazy Maori mum from bible college, Josie, told me she had visions of me speaking into a microphone on a TV screen. This was back in 2009. It dawned on me that here I am in Kansas City at IHOP praying into a microphone many times a week with the filming being projected right across the world on livestream and then also on GodTV! Oh my goodness, Josie's visions came true. Who would ever have thought so!!!

Memorial service

Feeling sad today as I get ready to attend the memorial service for a beautiful little baby who died at 35 weeks prior to being born. It was going to be the first baby for a much loved couple at IHOP. Matt is American and Tash is Hawaiian. They took these photos of their baby, Adalyn Joy.

Father we pray You would cause Your face to shine on every believer who is associated with this outreach. Lord we pray that the light of Your countenance would shine on their faces and the light of Your favor would shine on all their ways. We pray You would surround them with Your shield of favor. We pray that You would anoint their lips so every word they speak would be seasoned with grace. We pray you would give them the words of truth to speak.

White dove

Today during our time in prayer, I closed my eyes and saw a clear vision of a pure white dove. If I had not been in Ondrea's kitchen, I might have thought it was in the physical realm above us. It was beautiful. They taught us in bible college that a dove symbolises the Holy Spirit. Sweet :-)

Mail in Kansas City

This is the local vehicle that delivers our mail each day. I saw it arrive while I was sitting at my desk, so I ran to open the door and said "g'day" to the mail man. His name was Jim.

Praying for Perth, WA today :-)

Father God we pray You will revive the church in Perth, Western Australia with Your presence. We pray You will release a fresh anointing of Your Spirit over every believer in Perth. We pray that they would feel Your embrace, that they would feel the height, the width, the depth and the breadth of Your love. We pray that they would smell that sweet aroma of Your presence. We pray You would awaken the Church Lord. Fill them with a hunger and a thirst for You that can never be quenched.

Praying for protection for America

Father You said in Your Word that You would even deliver one who is not innocent by the purity of our hands, so Lord we lift up every perpetrator before You and we pray that You would have mercy on them and deliver them from the powers of darkness. We pray You will reveal Your unfailing love towards them and that You have plans to prosper them, to give them hope and a future. We pray that You will lift the veil from their eyes so they can see the truth and soften their hearts. We pray You will have mercy on them in Jesus name.

Father we pray that You will strengthen the hearts of believers in this city with supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You will release a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit, the anointing that breaks the yoke of oppression over them. We pray You will release joy, that Your joy will be their strength.

Father God we pray for the Christians in Detroit, that You would purify and transform their hearts, cleanse them of all unrighteousness. We pray You will help them to hide the Word of God in their hearts that they would not sin against You and would know Your affections towards them. Lord awaken their hearts, set their hearts on fire for You.

Breaky

Went to Jim and Andrea's place for a really lovely breaky this morning. I thought it was funny that they invited us international students - Neville, Margriet, Cindy-Lou and I from Malta, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia, respectively. Andrea told me today that they have only lived there for three weeks now. They bought the house. A young girl called Rachel lives with them. She is an associate core leader for Track 1 of Intro to IHOP-KC.

Andrea gave me a rather huge ring that belonged to her mother who died. She didn't like it and was going to sell it. It is really unusual, and probably something I wouldn't buy, but the fact that someone beautiful like Andrea gave it to me makes it special.

Father we pray that You will give the church in Perth, Western Australia, the grace to love you whole-heartedly, that all of their affection and all of their attention would be devoted to You. Lord, we pray that You would take them to that secret place, where there is nothing they can see, but Your face, that they would behold Your beauty and Your majesty. Lord we pray You would pour out Your Spirit on the Church, manifest Your glory and power in their lives.

Struck by a lightning bolt :-(

So sad - this house near Ruskin Heights, which is a poor part of town, was struck by lightning. How unfortunate.

God of restoration, we pray that You would have mercy on the family who lived in this house, that You would restore what's been lost from their lives. We pray for abundant provision for them, that You would meet every need that they have - physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, socially and financially. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to them as Jehovah Jireh, their Provider and El Shaddai, the God of more than enough. Give them supernatural peace and wisdom to know how to deal with this tragedy. Amen
