Daily Rules from God for 2009

1. Wake Up!! Decide to have a good day. 'Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.' Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up!! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. 'The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart.' I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. 'He who guards his lips guards his soul.' Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. 'Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good...' Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up!!... To the Lord. 'I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.' Phillippians 4:13

6. Reach Up!!... For something higher. 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path.'
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up!!... Your Prayers. 'Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.' Philippians 4:6

Michelle's housewarming party

Am having a housewarming party soon. I only really want about 15 people to come, just a small intimate party.

Fundraiser at college

Last Thursday I went to college as a blonde! Check it out. I received so many compliments, I'm thinking I should be blonde more often! :-) This is my good friend Annete as a redhead and I :-)

Great role model

Recently, I have totally fallen in love with this guy's ministry in Singapore. Oh i wish i could go to his church, which apparently has 18,000 people! His name is Joseph Prince, married to a beautiful lady called Wendy, and his church is called New Creation Ministries. I just love his sense of humor. Not a wonder he has such a successful church. We have seen quite a bit of his teaching at college.

Chicken

I chickened out and didn't end up getting my hair braided.

African hair style!

Things are going good. I have moved into a season of blessings. Every week now, people come over to my house on Friday arvos just after 5pm and have coffee, before heading to the Well. Today Kristin, Cheri, Ben, Netty and Marise are coming ... and maybe Alice, Peter, Wolfy, Dee and others....

Tomorrow, I am getting my hair braided in African style with extensions put in, so my hair will be two colours. I am so excited, but a bit nervous. It costs $200 and will take between 4 and 6 hours to complete... hopefully four hours will do it. It seems like a VERY long time!!! It better be good. I have chosen to let Marise's friend, Rose, do it because although she is expensive, apparently she does it really well and uses high quality products. I had a look at the job a girl in college did for another student and it was done with cheap synthetic material that pretty much looked like red wool. Really gross and definitely not worth the time or money invested in doing it. In fact within one week, she removed it and had her hair done differently by someone else, cos it was so bad. Apparently, mine will last a couple of months.
